Ribbon, Honey Dipper

I am sorry for having a vagina emerged from an experience of sexual harassment on a public bus in Turkey. The work consists of a short written memory transferred onto a ribbon and wrapped around a honey dipper. Throughout the text, apologies repeatedly surface and reappear, interrupting the narrative and folding into the act of remembering. As the ribbon slowly unwinds through the reader’s hands, the work traces the circular movement of memory, revealing how a single event can linger in the body and continue to shape language long after it has passed.
