About

Currently working and residing in Istanbul, Turkey

My work focuses on making visible the invisible, in making tangible the ephemeral, in speaking aloud the unspoken and in voicing voicelessness. I define my practice as interdisciplinary, combining a multitude of elements in order to encourage dialogue between the viewers and the work. I examine through video, photography, sculpture, creative writing but my work returns always to the source: my body. With my body as a mean of expression, I narrate, disrupt, interrogate and distrupt subtexts of gender politics and the repressive mechanisms by which women are reified.
